Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,
It’s with joy that we begin this weekend our return to public Mass with reception of Communion, even if there are still some restrictions in place. Thanks be to God! With this in mind, then, I wish to call your attention to some of the new protocols we’re required to follow for the time being.
1. Since we’re only permitted 50 people at a time, we ask that you call the Parish Office to register for Mass. 2. For the safety of everyone present, please make a self-assessment before coming to church. Doors will open 30 minutes before Mass.
3. Once here, someone will greet you and bring you to your seat (seating has been organized to keep physical distancing).
4. You will need to sanitize your hands as you enter and again as you leave the church.
5. A mask must be worn during Holy Communion; please bring one with you if you wish to receive.
Yes, things will feel differently at Mass for a while, but it will still be Mass. I thank you for your patience and cooperation in this time, especially as we continue to work things out.
And for those who might prefer to stay home for now, that’s ok, too. Your safety is why we’re doing this; come when you’re ready. We will continue to live-stream the Sunday morning Mass (9:30am) on our Facebook page.
In the meantime, I very much look forward to welcoming you back to this our common home so that, once again, we might worship the Triune God together under one roof.
