Archbishop Smith speaks about Catholic Education Sunday 2018
November 1, 2018
Time for GrACE
You've heard about public school lobbyists who are trying to disrupt Catholic education. Have you heard about GrACE? Grateful Advocates for Catholic Education (GrACe) is an alliance of educators and stakeholders with representatives of all 16 school districts that offer Catholic education in the province of Alberta. Their mandate is simple yet vitally important: to be vocal and public advocates for publicly funded Catholic education. As Archbishop Smith said in a message to parishes, "We may sometimes be tempted to take this precious gift for granted, and that would be at our peril." GrACE is planning a campaign to publicize and celebrate the value of Catholic education, and they hope to engage parishioners, parents, educators and other stakeholders in adding their voices to the campaign. We will be sharing more information from GrACE in the coming weeks and months.
