Knights of Columbus Sacred Heart Council #6839 1st - 3rd Degree Members
The Knights of Columbus Sacred Heart Council #6839 is a brotherhood of Catholic men who each play a part in improving the world around us. Our principles of charity, unity, fraternity and patriotism serve as the basis of our Order’s core values. We stand together in faith, dedicated to upholding the principles we cherish, while lending our support and strength to parish, home and fellow Knight.
Some of our community services include: · Sell CO-OP gifts cards · Provide Parish with monthly pancake breakfast · Shrove Tuesday Pancakes for Sacred Heart School (approx. 1,000 pancakes) · Lobster Fest (Maritime night) · Boys and Girls club support · Provide ushers at masses · Support youth activities · Special Olympics · Food for Families · Participate in Family Day activities at By-the-Lake Park · Replace and install old cemetery fence · Cut grass at old cemetery · Cut grass at church · Cut grass at Fr. Nilo’s house and shovel snow. · Hosted inter-faith curling bonspiel · Contributed to Ft. McMurray relief fund · Contribute to WDACS annual pumpkin ball · Lay wreaths on Nov 11th Millet, Wetaskiwin and Mameo Beach · Annual support Sign of Hope activities · Operate Audio Visual at masses · Extra ordinary Eucharist ministers · Sponsor a boy through Chalice Child International · Sell Pro-life calendars · Participate with Habitat for Humanity · Assist Knights and parishioner when moving · Assist Sisters of the Merciful Jesus to move furniture, setup in house

Knights of Columbus Fr. Joseph R. MacDonald Assembly #2963 4th Degree Members
The Knights of Columbus Fr. Joseph R MacDonald Assembly #2963 is a brotherhood of Knighted Catholic men who have continued on their journey to Knights of Patriotic Degree. Standing firm in support of the Order, we are always there to offer leadership, guidance, and encouragement. Knights of the Patriotic Degree glorify God by serving our communities and nations as though Christ were the one being served. Knights of the Patriotic Degree hold unwaveringly to what is right and honorable, working to keep God in the civic arena, serving the life of the Church, and defending laws that recognize the sanctity of life and true religious liberty. 4th degree Knights often serve in ‘Full Regalia’ at many functions in our community. This Color Corps is an elective division of the Patriotic Degree that presents a visible reminder of our service to our community.
Some of our Community services include: · Providing honorary guards at special masses and celebrations: · Mass of the Deceased · Deceased Knights or Family Members · Blessing Ceremonies at cemeteries · Sister Marie Therese Installation Ceremony
